For those of you who are asking the same question. Let me answer this with how I understand it to be. An affiliate program is a software that connects affiliates (people who are looking to earn money online) with merchants(people/companies who are looking to sell products online).

Not only that, they must also have a vibrant community, and informative advice from people behind the program.
