I had to take my wife to a doctor’s appointment today and decided to hit up the Apple Store in Oakridge Centre since it’s just across the street from the doctor’s office. I generally enjoy going to an Apple Store. It alway amazes me that Apple would need such a big store to sell such a small line of products. The formula seems to work however. Apple stores are the most profitable stores in the world, with average sales per square foot of $4,500. The flagship store in New York does almost $1 million a day.

Now that the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games are over, we’re all suffering from post Olympic blues. The blues have especially hit hard for Ed Lau, who has been cruising downtown everyday hoping to find a street party that is no longer there. Seeing the sad state everyone was in, it made sense to hold this edition of Dot Com Pho at Happy Pho because if anyone can cheer us up, it would be Happy Brian.

Twitter is worth an estimated $1.5 billion. For most of us, it’s a figure that we simply cannot afford. However, if your name is Mark Z and you have $300 million in cash and $4 billion in Facebook stock, the story might be a little different. Still, Mark wasn’t sure if he could afford Twitter so he decided to call up financial guru Suze Orman during her “Can I afford it” segment to see if Miss Orman would approve of Mark spending $1.5 billion on the micro blogging platform.
Did Suze Orman approved or denied Mark’s request to buy Twitter? Watch the video to find out the answer.

We were joined by Ronald Lee from Man Meet Woman. Ronald said he’ll be bringing a couple of friends along. Fun Facts about New Year's "Auld Lang Syne" was written by Robert Burns in 1741 and literally means "old long since," or "days gone by." This song is traditionally sung in many countries at midnight, January 1st, signaling the beginning of the New Year. "Syne" is pronounced like the word "sign," not "zyne." Some cultures......
Last week, my good friend Neil Patel wrote a post explaining why he would never live in a rich neighborhood. While I understood Neil’s main argument, I found the post quite amusing. It’s true that Neil does not live in a “rich neighborhood.” He lives in downtown Seattle in the private residences of the Hyatt Hotel. Downtown Seattle is a business district and not really a neighborhood. However, as business districts goes, downtown Seattle has to be the richest business district in all of Washington State. So while Neil may never live in a rich neighborhood, he has no problems living in a million dollar suite and taking advantage of all the amenities offered by the Hyatt.
